Skuld's powers continue to grow, as she manages to levitate a small lugnut. When her friend Sentaro comes to call, she happily shows him her new skill, impressing him. As they continue to talk, they hear a melody from nearby. Belldandy is singing with her angel, Holy Bell, which clearly amazes Sentaro. When Skuld proclaims that every Goddess has an angel, Sentaro asks where hers is. Finding herself in a bind, she promises that she will let him see tomorrow.
Later in her room, Skuld agonizes over an angel's egg, worrying over how to make it hatch. As she places it in her mouth, Urd unexpectedly opens the door, startling Skuld, and causing her to swallow the egg. Urd immediately drags her younger sister from the room, promising to use a vomit-inducing potion to get the egg out. However, her plans are cut short when Skuld suddenly slumps to the ground, unconscious. Apparently, the egg inside her has hatched.
Back in Skuld's room, Belldandy and Urd preside over their sister. Urd is very concerned, as Skuld's powers may not be strong enough to control her angel. Suddenly, a light begins to glow from Skuld's back, and Belldandy and Urd prepare for the worst. But their fears come to naught as Skuld's angel appears- though much smaller than anyone expected. When Skuld comes to, she is both surprised and happy to see her angel, whom she decides to name Noble Scarlet.
The next day, Sentaro drops by, and Skuld introduces him to Noble Scarlet. When Sentaro asks just what Noble Scarlett can do, Skuld is at a loss for words. Fearing for credibility, she takes Sentaro and Noble Scarlet out to prove that the little angel can be useful. However, almost all of Noble Scarlet's attempts prove to fail. Belldandy recognizes this, but notes that the little angel has plenty of good intentions.
Later that afternoon, Skuld helps tune up Sentaro's bike for a race the next day. Sentaro asks Skuld if she'll come and watch him, to which she shyly is unable to reply. As she quietly thinks it over, Noble Scarlet gives her a shove, causing Skuld to pitch forward and kiss Sentaro on the cheek. The incident causes Sentaro to quickly peddle away, leaving Skuld confused and angry.
Back at the temple, Skuld angrily reprimands Noble Scarlet for her actions, throwing things at the little angel, and ordering her to get out. Noble Scarlet takes refuge with Belldandy and Keiichi, who convince her that Skuld just needs a little time, and she'll forgive her.
The next day, Sentaro shows up for the bike race, but it is somewhat disappointed to not see Skuld.
Meanwhile, Noble Scarlet comes back to Skuld's room with some ice cream (courtesy of Keiichi). Skuld tells her angel that she isn't angry anymore, but promises that she'll have to return to her egg if she misbehaves again. Skuld sees the ice cream and mentions that they should share it with Sentaro later on, causing Skuld to remember what Sentaro asked her yesterday. Skuld figures showing up won't matter, but Noble Scarlet tugs on her sleeve, trying to get her to go.
A little while later, Sentaro is in the lead at the race track, but he keeps stealing fleeting glances around the track, hoping to see Skuld. As he looks ahead, he suddenly sees a downed rider in front of him. He swerves, but ends up falling off his bike, as the followers ride past. As Sentaro looks over his bike, he is shocked to hear Skuld's voice from nearby, pushing him onward. Sentaro takes off, pushing fast, and eventually overtaking the leaders, to win.
Later, at the awards, Skuld stands off to the side, and decides to go home. However, Noble Scarlet gives her a shove, and Skuld ends up next to Sentaro. Skuld is at first upset at her angel, but Sentaro calmly thanks her for being there, citing her presence for helping him to win. He then presents her with the plaque he won.
After the ceremony, Skuld says goodbye to Sentaro. As she turns, she's confronted by her sisters, who give her an angel's egg. It turns out that the egg is Noble Scarlet. Because she misbehaved (i.e. shoving Skuld against her will at the awards ceremony), Noble Scarlet had to return to her egg, as Skuld told her to do from earlier that morning. Skuld is distraught at this, but Belldandy promises her that in time, Noble Scarlet will return to her.
The next day, Sentaro stops by to see Skuld. When he inquires about Noble Scarlet, Skuld tells him that she had to go away for awhile, but that she'll return when she becomes an adult. Around her neck, hangs a small angel-winged pendant, to which Noble Scarlet's egg is attached.

- In the original manga, Sentaro does not know about Skuld or her sister's powers. Skuld's trick of levitating the lugnut is done in secret. Noble Scarlet is also never introduced to Sentaro, as well.
- In the manga, the angel's egg Skuld gets ahold of was originally Urd's property.
