Seal

Seals come up quite often in the Oh/Ah My Goddess universe. There are two main purposes of seals. First, there are seals that place limits on a deity's power. These are ornaments that the deity wears, such as Hild's tiara and arm bracelets or Belldandy's earrings. The second purpose of a seal is to lock away a deity. For instance, demonic Urd used a mirror to seal away Skuld. Also, Hild and Mara used a morphing tea pot to ensnare all of the goddesses and K (except for Bell). The object acts as a "prison" or catalyst, a spell is cast that acts like a lock, and, for the most part, the deity that cast the spell has a password that acts as the key to undo the sealing.
