A BIT ABOUT ME
My name is Dominic and I have a nickname UzimakiJinsei. I live in London and I am 20 years old. I love watching anime as it does for me what a good book does for an avid reader. It is through this love for anime that I have found myself viewing this great series Ah My Goddess. I feel that it brings something different to the running series animes (animes that last more then 26 episodes). I am currently studying at university, Games Design and Computer Programming. This helps me appreciate character design and conceptual storylines.
ANIMES I CURRENTLY WATCH AND WHY
At the moment I am watching a few different animes, that bring something different to the anime genre. Although by the same breath you could say they are somewhat similar in many ways also.
NARUTO - I have been following this series for the longest time, the character building and the emotional emittance of sorrow and relationships between friends are greatly represented in this series. It started off with a great storyline that encapulated you in the world of Naruto and his friends. However I feel that now the series has been aimed at a much younger audience, recently, and the storyline is faultering a bit. They are using more filler episodes now in the current series which also makes you feel less inclined to feel engrossed by the environment around.
BLEACH - Bleach is a fast paced series that makes you fixated with it from the very first episode, it is the great sword fighting battles and the amazing depiction of power that makes this anime somewhat unique. The art is very well done and although it is more older and serious then Naruto, it tends to have very well timed comic moments. The battles are done well showing you inner determination and you find yourself following the strikes from Ichigo and cheering him on. This has sustained its fast paced rythem throughout the whole series which is rare for a long running series such as this.
BLOOD+ - This is supposed to be a horror genre type anime, but to me it isnt there to scare or show blood for no reason, it is in itself completely grounded and unique. It again has good character breakdowns and up holds a realistic take on the personalities. Although it is rather intense at first the series grows on you and makes you want to watch more with each episode.
AND FINALLY AH MY GODDESS - Considering some of the first anime I really got into was Love Hina, you may well understand the reasons behind me finding this anime series so enjoyable. It is a breath of fresh air from many of the other animes that tend to run over more then one series and explores a tender and emotional side of the human psychy. It portrays the strength of relationships both between friends and the love between Keiichi and Belldandy. Never tainting it with lewd scenes or anything like that, you find yourself immersing in the characters and wanting to find out more about them. You fall in love with the two main charaters and really want them to progress in their relationship. You find yourself laughing at the situations that arise within the certain episodes. It is an emotional rollercoaster and you dont ever want to get off of, and it is that intense humanitarian portrayal within this anime that makes you watch it enthuiastically.
